A young woman fell an estimated 30 f00t down the cliff face on the Kew side of Dights falls in the Yarra river earlier today. Witnesses say she appeared to be with a young man who was swimming in the falls and appears to have misplaced her footing whilst attempting to join her friend at the bottom. The woman collapsed in agony with back pain after her friend attempted to help her to her feet. The rescue effort carried out by Ambulance Victoria took some two hours to winch her to safety.
